I’m planning out a trip to the closest Asian market that me and my friend always go to. I know I will be buying rice noodles, some fresh produce and possibly a new rice cooker but I’d also like to fine some low fat, low sodium sauces. Does anybody know of some delicious ones that I should try, preferably not spicy and without vinegar?
So I signed up for a Walk for Farm Animals by the Farm Sanctuary and I’d really like to fund-raise some money. It goes to them and the walk, because as many of you know, donations are key to giving them the ability to save animals. Fund-raising is something that I’d never been good at when I was younger; I was always too shy to ask or I thought people wouldn’t want to give money etc. But this is something that I’m really passionate about. I set a goal of 50.00, any amount helps, since it’s all going to the walk and the sanctuary, so I’d really appreciate either donating or spreading the word! And you can also sign up for a walk in your area!

Unfortunately I work at a banquet hall that is not serving vegan food, and today there was a pig roast I had to work. Luckily I didn’t have to be around it but so many of my co-workers saw it and were so grossed out by it. One of them said, I love pork but I won’t eat it like that and I just had to internally facepalm.
People are so used to their dead flesh coming cut up all pretty in a package that confronted with the whole animal, they won’t eat it. I mean heck, take away the grocery store convenience and we’d have a lot more vegans and vegetarians I guess…
Very envious of all the fruity people in Thailand right now! People biking everywhere, eating at amazing restaurants and gorgeous produce. Maybe next year I’ll go if it turns out they want to do it again!
Mangoes seem to take forever to ripen if they aren’t already ripe in store. I swear I’ve had some of my mangoes for a month. I doubt they’ll taste good once they do ripen. It’s unfortunate that most of the produce in grocery stores are low in vitamins, minerals and sugar too. All the more reason to grow whatever you can!
